A project completed June 2008. I made a website for BVLA property investors of Latvia on behalf of First Brokerage property brokers of Tbilisi, Georgia.
I created a website for a new office development called Pixel on Chavchavadze road designed by German architects Wandel Hoefer Lorch.
The website was to be designed by the keywords minimal, sustainable, timeless. I went for a minimal white design. I found the consultation process with the architect to be very satisfying and inspiring as I could appreciate his vision for the building and understood how his design principles were applicable to the website and to the other graphical materals related to the building.
It was a basic static site using php includes to bring in the consistent header and footer. I used the lightbox plugin in the photo gallery which gives a clean and smoothe pop-up effect for the images.
I used the architect’s graphical impression of the building side elevation for the floorplan layout with a simple rollover effect. Each floorplan page uses some php to flip between the different possible layouts for that level and give detailed dimensions.
I took many photos of the building during it’s construction in order to get a feel for it and to use the photos in the site. Some of the photos that I took were then used in a trade show about the building in Frankfurt. I enjoy looking at building and photographing them. I appreciate the angles and the interaction with the light and surroundings.
